Roberta Smith's studio is a Victorian cottage built in 1899.
It is popularly referred to as ”Maison Mathilda” because of the whimsical ten foot sculpted metal ostrich, Mathilda, who graces the front yard. This charming ”playhouse” is in
downtown Salida, Colorado just 4 blocks from the beautiful Arkansas River which makes it
convenient for midday breaks involving picnicking, biking or fly fishing.
